  • PhD Cancer Cell Biology, University of Cambridge
  • MPhil Developmental Biology, University of Cambridge
  • MA Natural Sciences (Genetics), University of Cambridge

After gaining a PhD in Cancer Cell Biology from the University of Cambridge and research fellowships in Oxford and New York, I decided to apply my scientific experience to the area of patents with Boult.

My work at the University of Cambridge and at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York concerned conducting research into cell behaviours relevant to morphogenesis and metastasis. This provides me with extensive practical experience of a wide range of biochemical, molecular biology and imaging techniques. My work was published in several journals including Current Biology and Developmental Cell.

I really enjoy working with innovators in a wide range of life sciences fields and drafting and prosecuting patent applications. I have expertise in the preparation of freedom to operate (FTO) and patentability opinions and my practice spans a wide range of biotechnology areas. In particular, I have significant experience in the areas of disease biomarker signatures and personalised medicine, stem cell technologies and medical devices.
