I am a Spanish-Qualified Lawyer, and work in our Madrid office. During my legal degree I developed a special interest in intellectual property, subsequently specialising in the field through a Masters in IP and European Law from A Coruña University and a PhD in IP from Carlos III University of Madrid.
My work predominately covers a variety of EUIPO matters, including inherent registrability objections, absolute grounds objection, and opposition proceedings including submissions in oppositions. I support clients in industries including media and entertainment, food and beverage, industrial manufacturing and processing, computing and software, consumer goods and retail industries. Prior to joining Boult Wade, S.L., I gained valuable experience from my role as an examiner at the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office).
Outside of work, I lecture at university to graduate-level students, PhD students and lawyers, and I am a professor on several online courses of Tirant Lo Blanch. I have also written extensively about IP topics: I am the author of “Protección jurídica y eficiacia del diseño industrial no registrado” (Legal protection and effectiveness of the Unregistered Community Design); and of various collaborative works in relation to intellectual property. I have also written various articles for El derecho Editores and Audiovisual 451.
