Open day

This is an annual virtual event, taking place in the Autumn. It’s open to undergraduates and graduates. It is a great way to find out more about being an IP specialist and working for a tier one firm. Not all firms are the same and the day gives you a chance to experience our friendly and inclusive culture. During the day you will meet current trainees, qualified patent and trade mark team members and partners and get an insight into what makes a great IP expert.

You will be able to get some tips about how to apply for our vacation scheme or trainee programme. The open day is relaxed and informal. Whilst you will want to make a good impression at the event, no assessments are made. Instead, this is your opportunity to find out about joining the IP profession and working at Boult.

“The sessions were extremely informative particularly when patent attorneys at different levels of the profession described their day-to-day experiences. I was intrigued about various academic backgrounds patent attorneys had hence motivated me to apply and not to give up!”

“The break-out groups where we were able to speak to a current trainee or early stage patent attorney was really informative. Having their fresher and more recent insight from graduating and joining the profession meant I was able to have some of my more specific questions answered.”

“The sheer amount of detail given regarding the career was exceptional.”
