Friday 21 March is the UN International Day of Forests and, to celebrate the day, Boult will be planting and donating trees.
The UN International Day of Forests recognises the vital role of forests in food production, as a source of water, in supporting climate regulation and for biodiversity conversation worldwide. However, annually 10 million hectares of forests are lost due to deforestation with an approximate 70million hectares being lost to fires globally. Safeguarding and replanting our forests is of paramount importance to the wellbeing of our planet and for generations to come.
OneTribe is on a mission to become one of the world’s largest protectors of forests and biodiversity. It works with global brands to fund biodiversity protection and carbon offsetting globally. Since 2022, Boult has partnered with OneTribe, making donations to the programme to protect hundreds of thousands of trees, save thousands of acres of rainforest and store hundreds of thousands of tonnes of CO2 globally. To mark the 21 March, we will be donating 3000 trees to OneTribe.
The National Forest is a 200 square mile forest in the heart of the UK. Over the last 30 years the project has transformed ex-industrial and mining landscapes into new green spaces through the planting and cultivation of trees. In that time, they have planted nearly 9 million trees and created 2,250 hectares of priority habits to support the conservation of priority species. We will be supporting The National Forest by donating trees which will be the second year of Boult’s partnership with this organisation.
