I work across broad biotechnology and life science areas including molecular biology, genetics, immunology and therapeutics. I work in diverse pre-grant and post-grant contentious areas. I am particularly knowledgeable on freedom to operate (FTO) analysis and advice; attacking and defending patents at the European Patent Office in Opposition and Appeal proceedings; and prosecuting patent applications at the European Patent Office and worldwide.

I am dedicated to serving our clients. I enjoy achieving our clients’ patent goals to support their commercial development and success. I have a breadth of experience in advising clients in situations involving complicated cases with multiple patent family members, particularly in the areas of Opposition and Appeal at the EPO.

Before entering the patent profession, I completed a PhD and then worked as a post-doctoral researcher for four years. The patent profession has given me new and exciting opportunities to learn and develop in the areas of law, business and innovation, while still allowing me to engage my passion for science.

Recent experience

Active in complex multi-patent family Opposition and Appeal proceedings at the EPO.

Providing freedom to operate and validity/infringement analysis for high value and business critical commercial products.

Strategy development for patent portfolios and execution of patent prosecution globally.
