Why did you join Boult?
For me, as a European/German lawyer the decisive point was the strong European presence the firm had. I liked that Boult had offices in Germany and Spain that were not only offices for appearance or Brexit reasons, but real operative offices with local IP specialists. I also valued the firm’s aim to grow them further. What was also decisive was the fact that the firm perfectly understood how my unusual profile (German lawyer residing in London) fitted in and could be used for the benefit of the firm. Overall, during the interview process, I felt it was a very forward-thinking firm that was flexible to adapt to and embrace new situations. Everyone was, and still is, extremely friendly and I felt very, very welcome from day one.

Why did you join Boult?
I was looking to move to get more interesting work and better career progression chances and Boult was very attractive on both fronts. I was also set on working at a regional office, so location was an important factor for me personally. The recruitment process was a good experience, which also played into the decision. The partners seemed open, and I liked being given the chance to meet the whole Cambridge team.
