I enjoy building close relationships with my clients with the aim of understanding fully their commercial goals. I provide thoughtful and creative advice throughout the lifetime of their intellectual property journey, from drafting to prosecution to coordinating prosecution and litigation around the world.
I am experienced in utilising registered and unregistered designs, having taken the role of lead attorney in a successful high-profile patent and registered/unregistered design litigation before the High Court, and I appreciate the value of these often-overlooked rights.
One of my main technical interests involves the renewable energy field, particularly energy storage (which is critical to sustainable energy consumption), and I have drafted, prosecuted and defended many patents and patent applications relating to cryogenic energy storage. I have also worked for over 14 years protecting medical devices on behalf of one of the world’s largest healthcare companies.
I am an expert in the UK Patent Box and routinely work with my UK clients to allow them to benefit from this framework, alongside a knowledgeable and familiar group of tax accountants.
