Boult Wade Tennant
News » Boult Wade Tennant welcomes new Managing Partner

Boult Wade Tennant LLP is delighted to announce that Dr Alex Frost will succeed John Wallace as the new managing partner, with effect from 1st November 2019.

During John’s long tenure as managing partner, the firm has experienced outstanding growth, including the establishment of new offices in Berlin and Madrid. The firm has also become an LLP, and has recently relocated to prestigious new offices in London. Boult Wade Tennant LLP has for many years remained in the top tier ranking of Legal 500, Chambers and Partners and Managing Intellectual Property, both for patents and trade marks.

John will remain actively involved in the firm’s management and will continue as the head of the Trade Mark and Domain Names group.

John Wallace said of the appointment:

It’s been a privilege to serve as managing partner over the past 5 years, which have been both eventful and fulfilling. Boult Wade Tennant LLP has established itself as one of the best IP firms in the UK and, with our continued expansion into mainland Europe, I believe that we are very well placed to face the challenges ahead. But our success is not down to one person; it is a result of the continued hard work and commitment of all of our staff and partners.

I am delighted to hand over the role of managing partner to Alex Frost. Alex and I have worked together for many years. He has many talents and a clear vision for the future. I am sure that the firm will continue to thrive under his leadership.

Commenting on his new role, Alex Frost said:

I am very honoured to be taking on the role of managing partner. John will be a hard act to follow; Boult Wade Tennant LLP has undergone more significant changes under his tenure than at any other time in its long, proud history. The firm is fortunate to have so many dedicated, talented individuals across the various practice groups and support teams. I hope that, with their support, I shall be able to guide the firm through the significant challenges ahead, whilst retaining our enviable reputation for quality and service.
